Alix graduated from the University of Queensland, achieving the dual degree of Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and Arts.

Alix has extensive experience in Mechanical Design with emphasis on sustainable developments and hybrid systems.

Alix is an advocate of Sustainability and draws upon this in her appreciation of engineering design.

Alix can offer many of the options within the Energy Menu, from Section J Energy Efficiency analyses for varying building type up to full Greenstar management and submission, and handles the management of the ESD projects.

Alix is adept in several Energy related software packages including ACADS-BSG CAMEL, BEAVER and HYENA and Solar Logic’s BERS Pro.

Brian Kenny Director

Qualifications and Affiliations

Experience Summary

Brian completed his engineering degree (in Electrical and Electronic Engineering) in 1982 at the James Cook University of North Queensland, Townsville.

He is competent in the design of high and low voltage electrical reticulation and standby power systems, internal and external lighting and power, emergency lighting systems, fire detection and alarm systems, lifts, energy management systems, communications systems, and electronic security systems.

He joined Ashburner Francis in 1992, as Senior Electrical Engineer.

In 2002, Brian relocated to the Toowoomba regional office of Ashburner Francis as Office Manager.

Projects undertaken with the company include aged care facilities, hospitals, educational institutions, government facilities and commercial developments.

Energy management is a major consideration on many of these projects, and Brian has been involved with the integration of the electrical systems into the site wide energy management systems, and the implementation of specific energy control systems.

Brian is an accredited assessor under the NABERS rating system for existing buildings.

He is also a BERS Accredited Professional for house energy rating, and has provided design input and ratings for a number of housing projects, including the “Sustainable Home Toowoomba”.

Kiat Chin ESD Mechanical Engineer

Kiat completed his degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Adelaide in 2004.

Kiat is an advocate of Sustainability and draws upon this is his appreciation of engineering design.

Kiat is adept in several Energy related software packages including ACADS-BSG CAMEL, BEAVER and Solar Logic’s BERS Pro.

Kiat joined Ashburner Francis in 2007 and has since been involved in a wide range of building services projects with emphasis on sustainable developments and hybrid systems.

Kiat can offer many of the options within the Energy Menu, from analysing the energy rating of residential buildings up to Section J Energy Efficiency analysis for commercial buildings.

Pradeep Pejavar ESD Electrical Engineer

Pradeep completed his degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems from Queensland University of Technology in 2003.

Pradeep joined Ashburner Francis in 2005 and has since been involved in a wide range of building services projects including health, aged care, commercial and educational developments.

Pradeep is an advocate of Sustainability and draws upon this is his appreciation of engineering design.

Pradeep is a Registered Greenstar Professional and deals with the Electrical components of this energy tool.

Pradeep has valuable experience in Energy use for audit analysis and computation.

Pradeep can offer many of the options within the Energy Menu with the emphasis on the electrical component.

Wayne Benson Director

Wayne graduated from James Cook University achieving a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Wayne has extensive experience in with deemed to satisfy and alternative verification methods (JV3) requirements of the BCA Section J “ Energy Efficiency”.

Wayne is proficient with energy rating / analysis packages including ACADS-BSG Camel and Beaver.

Wayne is responsible for the Townsville office ESD projects.

Peter Logovik ESD Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications and Affiliations

Experience Summary

Peter has gained nine years engineering experience since graduating in 2001.

After early involvement in building services for education, government, research and health facilities in Central Queensland, Peter relocated to the Gold Coast and furthered his experience in mechanical design and documentation in medium and large scale commercial and retail developments.

Peter's career has covered contracting, site investigation and supervision, project management, estimating, design and development, and ESD projects involving Green Star and NABERS.

With further independent study in the Future Leaders Program, Peter's skills encompass not only working collaboratively with internal and external design teams, but team management and leadership, making him a valuable addition to the energymenu team.
